Those of you who have stayed at out B&B have probably met our daughters. Our oldest daughter, Savannah, is now 14 & was diagnosed with Cancer in Feb '08 (ALL - Leukemia.) We have done 23 months of chemo treatments at this point, and have 4 months of treatment left. ALL is the most common form of childhood cancer. It affects 1 in 30,000 children. You can visit her Caringbridge site for updates: You can also support the Leukemia Foundation with Light the Night Walks & fundraising done in most areas. Savannah's Team Hope is participating in the Light the Night Leukemia & Lymphoma Walk in Oct 09 on UT campus in Knoxville. We invite you to join us in the finding a cure for blood cancers http://pages.lightthenight.org/tn/ETN09/TeamHope
Support Dream Connection (they grant "wishes" to kids who are faced with life threatening or chronically debilitating illnesses in the East Tennessee area) http://www.dreamconnection.org Many Leukemia patients must have a bone marrow transplant for survival.
